After keeping my eye on these boots for about two months, I finally indulged myself and bought a pair. That was two weeks ago, and after wearing them this long, I have to say I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THEM!
The leather that they are made of looks, feels, and smells terrific. You can tell by looking closely at the boots that they are extremely well-made. No cutting corners or cheap man-made materials here! You get a lot of bang for your buck.
Speaking of bucks, I searched high and low on the internet and in stores and never found these for less than the $127 I paid for them. That tells me that they are worth it (since no one is revealing a lower value through sales). As some reviewers have mentioned, a boot of this quality could easily sell for up to $300.
Other reviewers have commented on sizing issues. I usually wear size 12 footwear, but it's a tight size 12. Some reviewers recommended ordering these boots a full size or a half size smaller. I reasoned this way: I'm a tight 12, I could go 13, so I'll just stick with 12. As it turns out, the boots I got are a tad on the big side. I wore them too long to return them, and I'm going to just go with it, but I confirm that you should probably order a half-size smaller than what you normally wear.
Although I love the leather/white sole contrast for its aesthetic appeal, the sides of the white sole get dirty really quickly. It's not because they're white, per se, but because of the material they're made of. Not a big deal, just something to keep in mind. It can be cleaned though.
The leather smells amazing---if you like the smell of leather---but it's quite strong. Whether I'm in the car or hanging out with friends, I can always smell the leather. That takes a little getting used to. No one else has commented on it, not even my wife, so I guess it's not too annoying.
I'm new to wearing boots for casual life (as opposed to wearing them as work shoes), so I was a little surprised at how heavy these boots are. I guess they're about 2.5 lbs. each. After wearing them all day for three days straight, I started having some pain in one of my legs (from the hip to the knee). This probably has as much to do with me needing to get in shape more than it does with the boots. But, as boots, they are fairly heavy.
To summarize, I am very pleased with my purchase. I totally think the boots are worth the money. Every morning when I get up, my feet can't wait to get back in them. No kidding. I wear them all day, even though I have a job where I'm on the computer a good bit of the time...it's just that I feel so good in the boots! So if you're intrigued by these gorgeous boots as I was, go for it. Just be careful about the sizing.

great and substantial boots. feel like tennis shoes and the foot beds have lots of cushion. Light, fast, whisper quiet. I like them very much. oh yeah, one hundo union made in the usa and 1/3 of the price of redwings.

I'm retired ups driver been Red Wing fan for years but couldn't find them in my area here in TN, as always got on Amazon and researched and found these, ordered and as soon as I took them out of the box I was pleased, first pleased I found a USA made boot, second the quality is awesome (as soon as I opened the box I could smell the quality leather) then I tried them on and I couldn't take them off. I'm going to order another pair for future use. I would advise to order a 1/2 size smaller as I did and they fit like a glove.
